Steps
Authenticate with x-buildium-client-id and x-buildium-client-secret headers
Call GET /v1/associations/{associationId}/meterreadings to list recorded meter readings for common-area or submetered utilities
Use the corresponding POST to submit a new reading
Call GET /v1/associations/{associationId}/meterreadings/summary for aggregated consumption data
Schedule periodic polling of the summary endpoint to feed utility cost allocation reports
Known gotchas
The summary endpoint aggregates by association, so per-unit submeter breakdowns must be derived from the raw readings list instead
Meter reading data has no built-in unit-of-measure normalization confirmed in the docs, so confirm units per association before aggregating across properties
