Steps
Have an Admin create an API key scoped to the Financial API from Admin > Logins and Permissions > API Access Admin
Generate the paired subscription key and save the Financial API scope with it
Authenticate via the 'Get JWT With ApiKey' endpoint to obtain a bearer token
Call the financial transactions endpoint with a date range and season/camp filter to retrieve transaction records
Paginate or filter results as needed since financial datasets can span many seasons
Known gotchas
Financial API access is a separate permission from general camper/staff API access — an existing key won't return financial data unless the Financial scope was explicitly added
If you already have one integration key, you may need to decide between adding Financial scope to it or creating a dedicated financial-only key, since keys are immutable after creation
