Identify every location where a sloped roof edge terminates into a stucco wall plane (the point where step flashing ends)
Install a kick-out flashing that diverts roof runoff away from the wall and into the gutter rather than allowing it to run behind the cladding
Size the flashing legs generously (commonly cited guidance is at least about 4 inches on both the wall and roof leg) and set the diverter angle so water cannot bridge past it
