Search using only the first word or two of the company name (spelling on the certificate may differ from the shop's public branding) and, if available, the city
Filter/select the 'R' stamp (repair/alteration) among the stamp-type options; the same directory also covers NR, VR, and T/O marks
Confirm the certificate is listed as active and check the scope shown against the specific repair work being subcontracted
If the shop does not appear, do not assume expiration — contact the shop for their exact certificate number and recheck spelling variants before concluding they are uncertified
