1. Go to the CWB Group directory/certification pages at cwbgroup.org to look up companies certified to the relevant CSA standard for the work in question.
2. Use CSA W47.1 for structural/pressure steel fusion welding company certification and CSA W59 for the welding code governing that fabrication.
3. For a pre-engineered/steel building systems manufacturer specifically, check CSA A660 (Certification of Manufacturers of Steel Building Systems) — this standard covers steel building system manufacturers (personnel qualifications, design/engineering, materials control, fabrication, shipping, erection documentation), not piping fabrication; do not cite A660 for a piping-fabrication scope.
4. If individual welding inspectors need verification instead of the company, use the separate Certified Inspector Search for CSA W178.2-certified individuals.
5. Confirm the scope of certification matches the intended work (structural fusion welding vs. steel building system manufacturing vs. individual inspector) and note the certification date and any listed expiry/renewal status shown in the directory result.
