Steps
At the site, go to Security and Patrol > Onsite Features and activate Visitor Log (Beta) and Enable Visitor Log (Beta)
Under the new Visitor Management tab, create Visitor Types (e.g., Contractor, Delivery) and configure which fields each type requires (photo, license plate, unit number, host)
Set Roles and Permissions for Building Visitor / Building Resident actions under Settings > Roles and Permissions
Front-line staff select Check-in Visitor, choose the Visitor Type, fill in details (or use Frequent & Authorized Visitor Search), and click Sign In Visitor
Review or edit the resulting Visitor Log entry, and print/save the auto-generated visitor badge if photo capture is enabled
Known gotchas
Staff Portal users need the "View the tenant list" permission specifically to check in visitors via the mobile Guard Tour app
Pre-authorized visitors only appear in the authorized-visitor search after their first check-in/check-out — pre-authorizing before any visit keeps them invisible in that list
