  2. POST to /projects/{id}/subprojects to add an additional subproject beyond the auto-created default
  3. Plan equipment on the subproject through the appropriate planning workflow
  4. Retrieve the subproject to read the generated equipment_period_from and equipment_period_to fields
  5. Use these generated fields to reflect the actual equipment usage window rather than the overall project date range
