Steps

Authenticate with a Rentman API token
POST to the /projects endpoint with the supported subset of project fields (e.g. name, dates, customer)
Note that a default subproject is automatically created alongside the new project
Retrieve the created project to confirm generated fields such as equipment_period_from/to
Complete any remaining project setup not yet supported by the API from the Rentman UI

Known gotchas

Only a limited subset of project fields is supported for creation via the API — full project setup may still require the Rentman UI
Project-creation endpoints were introduced as BETA, so field support and behavior may change between releases
