  3. If you only know their name, use https://www.nachi.org/verify/lookup to find the member ID first
  4. Cross-check against the public directory at https://www.nachi.org/certified-inspectors, which lists current members in good standing plus any specialty certifications they hold
  5. If someone claims InterNACHI membership but doesn't appear in either tool, file a report with InterNACHI — they treat unlisted logo use as a trust issue
