Steps
Register in the SMX Partner Portal to obtain a bearer token for availability/rate queries.
Call the availability endpoint to retrieve current room availability for a connected property.
Call the rates endpoint to retrieve current rate plan pricing.
Call the reservations endpoint (using separate partner-provided endpoint credentials) to retrieve bookings routed through SiteMinder.
Reconcile retrieved data against your PMS/channel-manager records on a scheduled poll or event trigger.
Known gotchas
SMX is a distinct product from pmsXchange and SiteConnect — confirm you're using the right SiteMinder API for your data-flow direction (SMX is generally for reading, not pushing PMS inventory out).
Reservations retrieval uses separate partner-provided credentials from the Partner Portal bearer token used for availability/rates — plan for two credential sets.
