Enter and bulk-import direct-to-consumer orders into Sovos ShipCompliant

Steps

1. For single orders (e.g. a tasting-room sale), go to Orders > Enter Direct Orders > Manual Order Entry tab, fill in order, billing, and shipping/product info, and click Continue through each step.
2. At the order-info step, choose a Save Orders option: 'Save Order (Do Not Check for Compliance)' to save the order immediately without a compliance check, or 'Check for Compliance and Save Order (if Compliant)' to only save the order once it passes the compliance check.
3. For bulk orders, go to Orders > Enter Direct Orders and click Download Order Import Templates to get the correct import spreadsheet format.
4. Populate and upload the template; ShipCompliant imports successful rows automatically and returns a concise error report for failures.
5. Resolve reported issues (e.g. missing products) and re-import only the failed rows rather than the entire batch.
6. For fully automated, high-volume order flow from a fulfillment house, use the web-services integration path (a Web Service User) instead of manual template import.
