Contact BattlEye (battleye.com) to sign a licensing agreement and receive the integration SDK and documentation for your target platform
Integrate the BattlEye server-side library into your game server binary, initialising it with the provided callbacks for player connect, disconnect, and message relay
Integrate the BattlEye client-side library into the game client and implement the required message relay between client and server so BE backend messages are passed through your network layer
Implement the RCON/admin interface for your server to receive kick and ban commands issued by BattlEye's backend, and act on them in your game session logic
Test in a staging environment with the BattlEye test mode enabled before shipping to production
Known gotchas
BattlEye's SDK and full technical documentation are provided under NDA after licensing; the public website does not expose API endpoints — do not attempt to reverse-engineer the protocol
Detection logic is controlled entirely by BattlEye's backend; your game server only needs to relay messages faithfully and act on ban/kick callbacks — implementing custom detection on top is unnecessary
Failing to relay BattlEye messages without modification will cause false positives; never filter or delay the message relay loop
