Steps
Register for a client_id and client_secret at seatgeek.com/account/develop
Authenticate requests using the client credentials as query parameters or HTTP Basic Auth
Call the /events endpoint with query parameters to filter by performer, venue, or date range
Call the /performers endpoint to resolve performer slugs and metadata for filtering
Handle pagination via the response's page and per_page parameters
Known gotchas
SeatGeek's own docs state there are no plans to expose individual ticket listings or pricing through the Platform API — treat it as discovery/metadata only, not a purchase or inventory feed
The separate SeatGeek Partner Program is an affiliate/referral commission program, not a transactional API — do not conflate the two when describing capabilities
