Steps Call GET https://api.seatgeek.com/2/recommendations with a client_id and a seed of performers.id and/or events.id. Supply a geolocation parameter (geoip, postal_code, or lat/lon) — it's required on this endpoint and is also used to score results. Optionally scope results further with filters valid on /events (e.g. datetime_utc, venue.id, taxonomies.id). Read the returned recommendations array, sorted by score descending, to render a 'you might also like' list. Use the separate /recommendations/performers endpoint with the same seed pattern to recommend performers instead of events.
Known gotchas Recommendations always requires geolocation input — omitting it is a request error, unlike a plain /events search. If a performer is used as the seed on /recommendations/performers, that same performer is excluded from its own results.
