Have a qualified person perform the annual comprehensive inspection, including any disassembly or nondestructive testing the standard calls for
Have a competent person perform the monthly inspection of critical items each month the equipment is in service
Document each inspection's items checked, results, and the inspector's name, signature, and date, and retain records for the minimum retention periods set out in 1926.1412
