Known gotchas
Argyle is a CRA for payroll-based verifications — FCRA compliance obligations (permissible purpose, adverse action) apply when the data is used for credit decisioning
The Doc VOI (document-based verification) product launched in October 2025 is separate from the direct payroll connection flow — check docs.argyle.com for the correct endpoint and report type for each method
Payroll platform coverage varies; for workers at non-covered employers, implement a fallback to document upload or an alternative verification method
