  2. Call the foods/search endpoint with a query string and dataType filter to find matching food records
  3. Retrieve full nutrient detail for a match with the single-food endpoint keyed by fdcId
  4. For multiple ingredients, batch-fetch by fdcId list instead of looping single-food calls
  5. Map returned nutrient IDs to your menu's nutrition-label schema
