Steps

  1. Complete CN eBusiness registration and request the relevant API products as with CN's shipment-status APIs.
  2. Call GEO Bill of Lading Information for parties, origin/destination, commodity, and shipper reference numbers.
  3. Call GEO Estimated Time of Arrival for ETA at an interchange point, rail destination, or customer industry.
  4. For parties not on the waybill (e.g., a 3PL), use Third Party IM Tracking to get ETA, weight, and last event for active intermodal shipments.
  5. Use the Carbon Calculator API if you also need estimated emissions across the vessel-to-rail-to-truck movement.
