Steps
Go to igcc.org and open 'Certified Product Search' under the Certified Products menu
Search by Manufacturer's Name, Country, State/Province, or Certification Number as printed on the IGU's certification stamp/label
Alternatively open the 'Current Certified Products Directory' PDF linked from the Certified Products page for a full current listing
Confirm the specific spacer type and sealant system match the submitted unit's construction; note that a 'GCIA' designation appearing in the directory means 'Gas Content, Initial and After weathering' — a tested gas-fill-retention parameter (per ASTM E2190) required for a gas-filled IGU to be listed, not a trade association or company name
For older or discontinued certifications, check the 'Archived Certified Products Directories' page before concluding a product was never certified
Known gotchas
IGCC certification attaches to a specific unit construction (glass, spacer, sealant combination) at a specific plant — a manufacturer's other product lines or plants are not automatically covered
The online search tool is form-based and requires exact or partial-match manufacturer names; a misspelled or abbreviated company name can return a false negative
Do not misread 'GCIA' in a listing as an organization or association name — it is a test-result field, and its absence on a non-gas-filled unit's listing is not itself a red flag
