Steps
Open the Template Editor in the Plaid Dashboard for the relevant IDV template
Enable Selfie Check and Documentary Verification as checks within the template's step configuration
In the template's Setup tab, turn on 'Screen customers' and select the AML Monitor program to apply to sessions using this template
Save and publish the template, then create verification sessions referencing that template ID
After a session completes, read the watchlist_screening_id field from the /identity_verification/get response to pull the screening result
Known gotchas
Selfie Check and watchlist screening are configured entirely in the Dashboard template, not as parameters on the session-creation API call — passing them as API params has no effect
Enabling 'Screen customers' without selecting a Monitor program will not activate ongoing monitoring, only the initial screen
Template changes apply going forward only; sessions created from an older template version before the change keep the prior configuration
