Steps
Complete the Olo Dispatch partner onboarding process at dispatch-dsp.readme.io to receive sandbox credentials and a shared API key
Configure the Authorization header with your shared API key for all requests to the Dispatch API
When an order is ready for delivery, POST a dispatch request including the order details, pickup address, and dropoff address; Dispatch will solicit quotes from its connected provider network
Receive the selected provider and estimated delivery details in the response; store the Dispatch delivery ID
Use webhooks or polling to receive status updates as the delivery progresses through the provider network
Test end-to-end flows in the provided sandbox environment before requesting production access
Known gotchas
Olo Dispatch is a broker — it selects from multiple underlying providers (such as DoorDash Drive, Relay, and others) automatically; you do not choose the provider per request
Dispatch is only available to merchants and ordering platforms already integrated with Olo's Ordering API; standalone access is not offered
API access requires a contractual relationship with Olo; public self-service signup is not available
