Known gotchas
Hertz location codes are distinct from IATA airport codes; use the location lookup endpoint to map airport codes to Hertz location identifiers.
Rate codes are time-limited and tied to the search session; do not cache them across sessions as they may produce pricing mismatches at booking time.
Affiliate API access is gated and requires a signed commercial agreement; keep steps generic until official sandbox documentation is confirmed post-onboarding.
