Integrate the Avis Budget Group affiliate API to search and book vehicles in corporate travel workflows

Steps

1. Apply to the Avis Budget Group affiliate or corporate API program and obtain your AWD (Avis Worldwide Discount) or BCD (Budget Corporate Discount) code and API credentials.
2. Authenticate API requests using the credentials provided; the affiliate API uses key-based authentication over HTTPS.
3. POST a vehicle availability search with pick-up location code, return location code, pick-up/return date-times, and AWD/BCD discount code to retrieve eligible rates.
4. Parse the rate response: extract vehicle class, rate code, total estimated cost, and inclusions (unlimited mileage, insurance).
5. Create a reservation by POSTing the selected rate code, renter details, flight number (if applicable for guaranteed late arrival), and loyalty program number.
6. Retrieve the confirmation number and cancellation policy from the response and store them for itinerary display and potential cancellation.
