Steps

  1. License pdfToolbox CLI (or the pdfToolbox Server CLI component) per callas/reseller licensing
  2. Select or build a preflight profile (e.g., a GWG Sign & Display or PDF/X-4 profile) in pdfToolbox Desktop, then use it with the CLI
  3. Invoke the CLI against incoming files, using --analyze to run checks only (no fixups) when a human must approve corrections first
  4. Generate the annotated PDF report, HTML-templated report, and/or machine-readable XML report for downstream processing
  5. Parse the XML report in a hot-folder/job-management script to route passing files to RIP and failing files to a manual-review queue
  6. Use --noprogress in scripted/CI contexts to keep stdout clean for log parsing
