Steps
In Toast Web, confirm you have Restaurant Admin/Web Setup access plus the Invoicing, Catering & Events view/edit/configure permissions
Set up a catering service charge and a catering revenue center before configuring order types
Navigate to Catering & Events > Settings > Add order type, and choose Catering, Event, or Custom as the base type
Add and order the form fields to collect (text, yes/no, select, time, employee), marking internal-use-only fields that shouldn't appear on guest-facing BEOs
Set the default dining option (choose one with Delivery behavior to expose a delivery-address field) and save
Known gotchas
Toast Catering & Events is not currently available in Australia
When a lead form is converted to an order, the lead's field responses do not auto-copy into the order's Details fields - event details must be re-entered manually
The BEO's 'Ready Time' is the kitchen fire time, not the guest's food-ready time; adjust Prep time separately to change when the order actually fires
