Steps
Download the same schema release zip (e.g. stanford2010_release_4.1.zip) and SchemaDoc from skogforsk.se/english/projects/stanford/stanford-2010/
Confirm .mom files are XML generated onboard the machine conforming to the StanForD2010 XSD for machine/operational monitoring
Parse with an XML/XSD-aware library matched to the exact schema version declared in the file
If integrating live rather than via file exchange, review the 'StanForD File REST-API v1.0' PDF (2021-02-07), which defines GET /File/v0.1/MOM and /File/v0.1/MOM/<id> over HTTPS with HTTP Basic Auth
Treat the REST spec as aspirational: Skogforsk's own documentation states there are no known deployed implementations, so plan on file-based ingestion instead
Known gotchas
v4.0 was published then deprecated in favor of v4.1, so schema drift between releases is common
Authentication for any vendor's remote API (if one exists) is undefined by the standard and left to each manufacturer
Treat this purely as a file format integration project, not an API integration, unless a specific vendor confirms a live endpoint
