Steps
Install the Webhooks app from the ScreenCloud Studio App Store and create a new named webhook instance
Copy the generated unique webhook URL and API key issued for that instance
POST JSON payloads (text, image URL, and/or link fields) to the webhook URL with the API key to push new content
Configure the instance's display template/duration in Studio so incoming payloads render as a formatted slide
Assign the Webhooks app instance to one or more screens/playlists so pushed content appears in rotation
Chain the webhook from Zapier/Power Automate/Make so external system events trigger pushes automatically
Known gotchas
Each app instance has its own URL/key pair; reusing one instance's webhook for unrelated content sources overwrites the same slide instead of creating separate content
There is no rich payload-validation feedback — malformed JSON fails silently in automation tools unless the HTTP response code is explicitly checked
Content pushed via webhook is fire-and-forget with no built-in history/audit API, so tracking what was displayed and when requires your own external logging
