Sampled — shipped under file-level sampling, not individually fact-checkedcommunity attestations: 0✓ / 0✗
Steps
Confirm the spec requires or references AWI QCP certification (common in Division 06 sections on institutional/public work).
Submit the online project registration at awiqcp.org with the applicable AWI standard edition, project stage, and estimated start/finish dates.
Note the QCP project number issued (typically within 24 hours) and add it to project submittals/specifications.
Schedule required inspections as the project moves through the drawing/fabrication/installation stages.
Budget the certification fee (0.5% of the woodwork subcontract value, $500 minimum/$10,000 maximum) into the bid.
Known gotchas
Anyone — architect, GC, or woodworker — can initiate registration; don't assume only the fabricator can register the project.
Early registration before fabricator award is possible and recommended to lock in the quality benchmark; waiting until fabrication starts can create compliance gaps.
