Steps
Log into the app, select the assigned Post Site, and tap Check-In to start the shift
Tap Scan Tags to jump directly into the tag-scanning interface, bypassing the full Site Tour flow if needed
Choose the tag type: QR Tag, NFC Tag, Virtual Tag, or BLE Beacon Tag
For NFC, hold the device near the tag; for QR, point the camera; Virtual Tags scan automatically via GPS; BLE beacons connect over Bluetooth
Add notes or photos if required and tap Submit (or Skip if no notes are needed) to log the checkpoint
Known gotchas
NFC tags must first be written with a separate third-party app (NFC Tools) before they can be scanned in GuardsPro
Scanning tags this way logs a checkpoint hit but does not follow a defined Site Tour sequence — use the Site Tour feature instead if tour order/compliance must be tracked
