  1. Review the current UL Solutions Qualified Firestop Contractor Program Requirements document to understand the 10-element management-system program described in its Section 9.2.
  2. Appoint and employ a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) who passes the UL firestop exam and meets the program's experience requirements.
  3. Document the required management-system elements: construction-document review, material selection/purchasing/storage, installation and field QA procedures, and inspection/testing/calibration of equipment.
  4. Schedule UL's facility and jobsite audit to verify the management system is effectively implemented, not merely documented on paper.
  5. Consider the optional Master Audit Certificate of Compliance (MACC) extension if a project owner wants additional installation-audit assurance.
