Steps

  1. Flash the ratgdo board with the mqtt-ratgdo firmware and configure your MQTT broker host, credentials, and a Device Name/MQTT Prefix.
  2. Subscribe to <prefix>/<device-name>/status/door for door state changes: opening, open, closing, closed.
  3. Subscribe to <prefix>/<device-name>/status/obstruction for obstructed/clear events from the opener's safety sensor.
  4. Publish "open" or "close" to <prefix>/<device-name>/command/door to actuate the door.
  5. Integrate directly with Node-RED, Home Assistant's MQTT cover, or any MQTT-capable automation platform using these topics.
