Steps

  1. Use the free public search at https://apps.dnr.wi.gov/wellconstructionpub/#!/PublicSearch/Index (Wisconsin DNR Well Construction Information System)
  2. Search by well ID, county, address, or legal (PLSS) description to pull the digitized Well Construction Report (WCR)
  3. Cross-check planning constraints with the Well Driller Viewer map application (dnrmaps.wi.gov, viewer=Well_Driller_Viewer) for NR 812 setback/approval context
  4. Note that licensed drillers submit new WCRs through a separate authenticated online reporting portal requiring a WAMS ID login, not the public search tool
  5. For records not yet digitized, contact the Wisconsin Geological & Natural History Survey (wgnhs.wisc.edu) or email DNRWELLREPORT@wisconsin.gov
