Monitor NYISO's eConnect portal (econnect.nyiso.com) for the specific project's study milestone notifications; set up email alert subscriptions for docket updates
For DER aggregations, verify that the project is registered under NYISO's Standard Interconnection Procedures (SIP) for facilities under 20 MW, which allows abbreviated study timelines compared to the standard LGIP process
Known gotchas
NYISO's Excel queue file is updated weekly but does not include a change log; projects that withdrew or were suspended may still appear until the next weekly refresh — always check the Status column rather than assuming all rows are active
The NYISO cluster study process introduced August 2024 uses a two-phase structure; Phase 1 (reliability) and Phase 2 (economic) have different completion timelines and a project can be held between phases with no visible status change in the public queue file
NYISO's heterogeneous DER aggregation amendment allows mixing resource types within an aggregation, but each component DER still requires individual SIP registration — missing a component registration blocks the aggregation's Class Year study entry
