  1. Become a UIIA participant (motor carrier, equipment provider, or rail/ocean carrier) and register for Intermodal Driver Database (IDD) access.
  2. Choose an integration method - web portal, electronic data transmission, or API - per IANA's IDD offering.
  3. As an Equipment Provider, use the API to approve, reject, or cancel interchange/street-turn requests.
  4. Use the API's search capability to look up street interchange requests by the required parameters (driver/carrier identifiers).
  5. Cross-check returned driver data against the linked UIIA motor-carrier interchange status for subscribers who are also UIIA participants.
