Confirm the current spec designation and revision via DLA ASSIST (quicksearch.dla.mil) before quoting, since the type/class system carried from legacy MIL-A-8625 continues in the current performance spec
Select Type I/IB/IC (chromic acid anodize) for thin, low-stress coatings on fatigue-critical aerospace parts
Select Type II/IIB (sulfuric acid anodize) for general corrosion/wear protection and standard commercial or architectural anodizing
