Steps
Register as an agent with Seven Corners to receive separate credentials for the Gated API (quoting/enrollment) and the Secure API (certificate/claims).
Authenticate against the Gated API and call its product resource endpoints to look up eligible travel insurance plans for the trip.
Submit a single-quote request with traveler and trip details, then enroll the insured by purchasing the selected quote.
Use the Secure API's certificate management endpoints to retrieve or update the issued certificate after enrollment.
Use the Secure API's claim information endpoints to check claim status if the insured later files a claim.
Known gotchas
Gated API (developer-api subdomain) and Secure API (developer-sapi subdomain) use different credentials — one token does not authenticate both.
Both APIs are restricted to registered agents; there is no anonymous public quoting endpoint.
Some plans (e.g., J-visa compliance products) are program-specific — confirm the correct product/program ID for the traveler's visa or purpose before quoting.
