Steps

  1. Set up a loyalty program (profile-based or card-based) and its ledger/subledger structure, plus point activation and expiry rules, in Campaign Manager.
  2. For card-based programs, link the loyalty card to a customer profile via the loyalty-cards linking endpoint before querying balances for that profile.
  3. Call the Integration API's get-loyalty-balances operation to retrieve Active, Pending, Spent, Expired, and Negative point totals for a customer, optionally filtered by date.
  4. Call the list-loyalty-transactions operation to retrieve the underlying addition/subtraction transaction log (defaults to the most recent 50 entries).
  5. For awarding points automatically, use a campaign rule with an addLoyaltyPoints effect; for bulk manual adjustments, use the Management API's CSV-based loyalty points import rather than assuming a single-transaction endpoint.
