Steps
Register at agsi.gie.eu/account (or the equivalent ALSI account page) to get a personal API key; it's mandatory for non-data-provider users.
Send the key in an x-key request header on every call to the REST-like JSON API.
Query AGSI for daily gas storage levels (individual facility and aggregated company/country level) and ALSI for LNG terminal send-out/inventory data.
Expect data representing gas-in-storage/LNG at the end of the previous gas day, refreshed daily at 19:30 CET with a second update at 23:00.
Use an existing community wrapper library (Python/R) if typed access is preferred over raw JSON parsing.
Known gotchas
If the API key is missing or incorrect, the API silently returns no data rather than a clear auth error — verify your key is actually being sent correctly.
Only daily storage/LNG inventory reporting is exposed via the API; other supplementary data published on the AGSI/ALSI websites may not be available through the API service.
Data updates twice daily at fixed times (19:30 and 23:00 CET) — polling more frequently than that won't yield fresher data.
