Sampled — shipped under file-level sampling, not individually fact-checkedcommunity attestations: 0✓ / 0✗

Steps

  1. No API key is required; this is a free, unauthenticated public API
  2. Call GET /regional/postcode/{postcode} for the current regional intensity and generation mix (postcode outward code only, e.g. "SW1")
  3. Call GET /regional/intensity/{from}/fw24h/postcode/{postcode} to get the forward 24-hour forecast from a given datetime
  4. Parse the returned intensity.forecast, intensity.index (very low/low/moderate/high/very high), and generationmix array
  5. Combine with the national /intensity endpoint to compare regional vs GB-wide figures
  6. Cache responses locally since the forecast only updates on a fixed half-hourly cadence
