Steps

  1. Obtain an access key id and access password (or an in-notebook authentication token) for the target LabArchives account
  2. Determine the correct regional base URL: api.labarchives.com by default, auapi.labarchives.com for Australia
  3. Call the users/user_access_info API method with login credentials to resolve the account's numeric uid
  4. Use the resolved uid in subsequent calls such as users/user_info_via_id to fetch account/notebook metadata
  5. Parse responses as XML, not JSON
