Steps
Create a Cin7 Core account (inventory.dearsystems.com) and retrieve your Account ID and API Application key
Authenticate requests against the v2 API base (https://inventory.dearsystems.com/externalapi/v2/)
Use product and inventory endpoints to sync SKUs and stock levels across your retail/wholesale price tiers
Use paginated endpoints for large datasets (customers, products, invoices) to keep response times manageable
Assign customers to the correct price tier (e.g., Retail vs. Wholesale) so order pricing pulls the right rate automatically
Known gotchas
Cin7 Core (formerly DEAR Inventory) documentation is still hosted on a legacy Apiary domain (dearinventory.docs.apiary.io) separate from the main cin7.com site
Pagination is required for large datasets; unpaginated bulk pulls against Customers/Products/Invoices can time out or get throttled
Up to 10 price tiers can be configured per product — get the customer-to-tier mapping right or wholesale orders will price at the wrong tier
