Steps
Contact Vervoe's team (sales or support contact) to request Enterprise/partner API access — Vervoe explicitly states it does not offer a public open API
Once access is granted and documentation/credentials are shared, call the endpoint that lists your available assessments to identify the correct assessment ID to send
Call the send-invitation endpoint with the candidate's details and the chosen assessment ID so Vervoe delivers the assessment (Vervoe also supports inviting via generic web links or your own email/communication method as an alternative to the API call)
Poll the results endpoint to check completion status and pull the scored candidate profile once the candidate finishes
Before re-sending invitations to previously-completed candidates, check the assessment's configured reapply window (defaults to 180 days from first invitation) so retake behavior matches expectations
Known gotchas
There is no public API signup path — integration requires going through Vervoe sales/partnerships first, which gates how quickly you can start building
The default 180-day reapply cooldown means re-inviting a candidate who already completed the assessment may be blocked or reuse stale results unless that setting is explicitly changed
Because API docs are only shared after access is granted, exact endpoint names, auth scheme, and payload shapes should be confirmed with your Vervoe integration contact rather than assumed from generic REST conventions
