Create a plain bucket: mc mb myaistor/mynewbucket.
Create a versioned bucket: mc mb --with-versioning myaistor/myversionedbucket.
Create a bucket with object locking (implies versioning): mc mb --with-lock myaistor/mylockedbucket.
Create in a non-default region: mc mb --region us-west-2 myaistor/regionalbucket.
Avoid errors on an existing bucket: mc mb --ignore-existing myaistor/mynewbucket.
Verify with mc ls myaistor/.

Known gotchas

Bucket names follow S3 rules: lowercase letters, digits, dots, hyphens; dots complicate virtual-host addressing.
--with-lock requires (and implies) versioning; buckets created WITHOUT locking cannot use lifecycle transition rules and cannot enable object locking later (except via mc retention set --default on recent releases).
Since MinIO RELEASE.2025-05-20T20-30-00Z, object locking/retention can be set on any existing bucket, but lifecycle management still needs a versioned bucket.
'minio' and 'aistor' are reserved bucket names — mc mb returns access-denied.
--region defaults to us-east-1 and has no effect on filesystem paths.
