Steps

  1. In your Táve account, go to Settings -> API Integrations and select New API Key
  2. Name the key after the specific application that will use it and choose a permission level (Read and Write, or Read Only)
  3. Save the displayed key immediately — Táve only shows the full key value once, at creation time
  4. Make requests against the current public v2 API base (documented at tave.io) using that key for authentication
  5. Delete and reissue the key if it's ever compromised or the integration is retired, rather than reusing an old key across apps
