Steps
Determine whether your shop is the 'last point of transformation' on the certified material — if so, your own facility must hold an FSC CoC certificate, not just source from certified suppliers.
Engage an FSC-accredited certification body to audit your facility's tracking, purchasing, and labeling systems.
Maintain correct FSC claims (e.g., FSC Mix, FSC 100%) on purchase orders and production records so claims aren't inadvertently downgraded.
Issue invoices to the LEED project team that include your FSC CoC certificate code and the correct FSC claim for materials sold.
List FSC-CoC as a required fabricator qualification in bid documents so subcontractors can't bid without holding current certification.
Known gotchas
