Steps

  1. Confirm the developer app has Marketing Developer Platform access with the rw_ads permission — LinkedIn's ads management APIs are invitation/partnership-gated, not self-serve
  2. Create a Campaign Group under the ad account, optionally setting an immutable objective type shared by all campaigns in that group
  3. Create the Campaign within the group specifying campaign type (Sponsored Content), objective, cost type/bid, daily or total budget, and schedule
  4. Create Sponsored Content creatives referencing an existing organization post and associate them with the campaign
  5. Set targeting facets (skills, job titles, company size, seniority, etc.) on the campaign per LinkedIn's audience targeting schema
  6. Activate the campaign by updating its status, then verify delivery via the Ad Analytics endpoint
