Known gotchas
Watchdog requires sufficient historical data to establish a baseline; newly deployed services may produce false positives until the algorithm has enough signal
Watchdog anomaly detection is automatic and cannot be manually tuned with custom thresholds in the same way as metric monitors; accept some false positives during initial rollout
Deployments and known maintenance windows should be annotated as events in Datadog so Watchdog can contextualize anomalies against intentional changes
