Complete Arity partner onboarding to obtain API credentials for the Arity platform (apidocs.arity.com); store the issued key as YOUR_ARITY_API_KEY
At the start of a quote flow, collect the applicant's name, date of birth, address, and driver's license number as inputs to the Arity IQ scoring request
POST the applicant identifiers to the Arity IQ endpoint; Arity matches the consumer against its database of 40M+ scored drivers and returns a predictive driving score (range documented in platform materials, generically 1–100 or a similar normalized range)
If a match is found, incorporate the Drivesight score into your rating algorithm alongside traditional factors; if no match, fall back to standard-rated pricing
Log the Arity score and the associated quote ID for regulatory audit trail purposes; FCRA obligations may apply when using third-party data in underwriting decisions
At renewal, optionally re-query Arity to check for score drift; a materially changed score can trigger re-rating or UBI program invitation
Known gotchas
Arity data is sourced from Allstate's telematics dataset and partner programs; coverage is strongest for Allstate-affiliated policyholders and may be sparse for drivers with no prior telematics participation — have a fallback pricing path
Using Arity IQ data in underwriting is subject to FCRA adverse-action notice requirements if a consumer is charged more or denied coverage based on the score; confirm compliance obligations with legal counsel before production deployment
The Arity platform API is accessed through Apigee-managed endpoints; rate limits and SLAs are set per partner agreement — do not assume standard quota values
