Steps
Register for access to Solera's public API service and review the Swagger/OpenAPI-style documentation for the specific services you need (e.g., Estimate Return, Claim Image Document Return).
Authenticate to the API endpoints using OAuth 2.0 against Solera's ID server.
Use the RESTful JSON/XML endpoints to query or update assessments, vehicle reference data, repair orders, and photo/document attachments.
Implement the Estimate Return API to receive completed estimate documents back into your claims system, and the Claim Image Document Return API for associated photos/documents.
Test against Solera's non-production/demo environment before switching to production credentials.
Known gotchas
Each Solera API service (Estimate Return, Claim Image Document Return, etc.) has its own separate integration guide — treat them as distinct integrations rather than one monolithic API contract.
OAuth 2.0 credentials are scoped to the specific service you registered for; a credential issued for one API service will not automatically grant access to another.
