  1. Enable the RESTOAuth2ClientCredentials system preference in Koha administration
  2. Create an API client (client_id/client_secret) tied to an existing patron account
  3. POST to /api/v1/oauth/token with grant_type=client_credentials, sending the client_id/client_secret via HTTP Basic auth header or in the request body
  4. Read the bearer access_token from the JSON response
  5. Send the token as an Authorization: Bearer header on subsequent /api/v1 calls
